On a tour of the Colorado Prison Museum, you'll see 32 cells containing exhibits and artifacts in this 1935 Women's Correctional Facility. Among the artifacts is the hangman's noose used during the last Colorado hanging, rare photographs of prison life, and the gas chamber. The museum exhibits prison life from the early territorial days to present times, in order to preserve a part of Colorado's history.

Madonna of the Trail Monument
The Madonna of the Trail Monument is located in Lamar, a historical town on the Santa Fe Trail. The monument pays homage to the 800,000 pioneer women from the days of westward expansion. Identical monuments stand in each of the 12 states along the trail. The Lamar monument was dedicated in 1928 by the National Society Daughters of American Revolution.

Royal Gorge Bridge and Park
